THE EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME This programme is implemented with support from Interteam, UNICEF and MTC, and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Child Welfare (MoGEPECW). COMMUNITY-LED TOTAL SANITATION (CLTS) Implemented in partnership with UNICEF and the Namibian Chamber of Environment (NCE), and with current financial support from the European Union, this programme is now being implemented in the informal settlements of 8 towns across Namibia: Windhoek, Swakopmund, Karibib, Otjiwarongo, Oshakati, Opuwo, Oniipa and Katima Mulilo. UPDATE: JAN-MAR 2021 Programme for the Provision of Low-cost Land for Housing

EXPANSION During the early months of 2021, several local authorities requested a presentation on the programme, including the towns of Katima Mulilo, Rundu, Okongo, Eenhana, Otavi, Okakarara, Omaruru, Henties Bay, Rehoboth, Stampriet and Omuthiya. With three of these towns MoUs are currently being prepared and in another three, preparatory discussions are in an advanced state.
